Paula Skutnick
Paula Skutnick, M. Ed. is a licensed psychologist and an adjunct professor of psychology for over 20 years at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. An award-winning ragtime pianist, Paula has composed several musical theatre works, recently composing the music and co-authoring the book for the musical LET GO!, produced and performed in Philadelphia.

She has taught piano, theory, and composition to students of all ages since 1976. Her students have won composition awards and some have gone on to study performance & pedagogy at the collegiate level. Paula has published articles on the intersection of psychology and music, specifically regarding "flow" and performance anxiety.

In addition to her "day jobs" as a college professor and piano teacher, Paula likes to write and play any kind of music that moves or grooves. She has played or sat-in with Bob Dorough (in NYC), Peter Ecklund (of the David Bromberg Band), The Dukes of Destiny, Parlor Noir, Dibbs and the Detonators, The Rivers (Rockabilly), Carol Moog, Seth Holzman, The Blackbird Society Orchestra (authentic 1920’s/30’s), The Juke-Rockers, Lava Blue, and the late great guitar legend Danny Starobin. She plays keyboard and sings in several ragtime/blues/early jazz ensembles. When not playing, you can find her swing-dancing the night away.
